Supermarkets are forced to close on Easter Sunday, but times vary from shop to shop on Bank Holidays. Traditionally all shops needed to shut on Bank Holidays, but today it is up to the stores to decide if they want to open and how long for. What time is Asda open this weekend?
Easter weekend is the best excuse to pig out on all things chocolate and eat basically anything you like.
If you’ve forgotten to buy Easter eggs this year, you can still head to just about every supermarket that is still open in the days leading up to Easter Sunday.
While all large stores of more than 280 square metres must not open on Easter Sunday, a handful of smaller shops will still be open on the indulgent day.
Most supermarkets will be open on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday under slightly different opening hours.

What time is Asda open this weekend?
All Asdas in Scotland will continue to have “normal trading hours” over the entire weekend.
However, Asda stores in England, Wales and Northern Ireland will mostly be closed on Easter Sunday.
Asda has said some stores will remain open but it has not revealed which locations just yet.
Asda hasn’t provided a list of general opening times online, and when contacted by Express.co.uk the company advises customers to find their nearest store’s opening times online via Asda’s store locator: https://storelocator.asda.com/
While times vary from store to store, most Asdas seem to be open on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Monday.
On Good Friday, it looks as if Asda stores are open for their usual hours, according to the store locator.
Some branches will open at 6am or 7am and some will stay open until 11pm or midnight.

Normally, Asda stays open till around midnight on a Saturday night, but the store locator indicates that some shops will be closing about two hours earlier than this on Easter Saturday.
On Easter Saturday, Asda seems to be staying up between 6am or 7am and 10pm.
On Easter Monday, it looks like Asda is opening at 6am or 7am and closing at 8pm, which is an earlier close than its normal midnight close.
