Blue Ivy makes adorable cameo in Beyoncé’s ‘Black Is King’ trailer
Blue Ivy Carter has stolen the show in the trailer for her mom Beyoncé’s “Black Is King” visual album.
The 8-year-old got her moment in the spotlight, flashing a cute smile at about 49 seconds into the video teaser for the film, which is set to release on Disney+ at midnight July 31.
Beyoncé’s “Black Is King,” a celebration of black excellence and culture, is inspired by the live-action version of “The Lion King,” and is being released just after that film’s one-year anniversary.
Blue Ivy is no stranger to attention, though. Last year, she won the Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s Award at the Soul Train Awards for her feature in “Brown Skin Girl” at just 7 years old.
Beyoncé fans still continue to fawn over the eldest of Bey and Jay Z’s brood, and Blue — dressed in pearls and an elegant dress in the trailer — was met with adoration online for her appearance in the teaser.
“I believe in Blue Ivy supremacy,” wrote @blueivyslave on Twitter, along with stills from the video.
Not only did Beyoncé shock the internet with her trailer release leading up to “Black Is King,” but she also showed an act of kindness this week, sending flowers to Megan Thee Stallion, who suffered gunshot wounds earlier this month. The iconic women duo released a remix of “Savage” earlier this year, which has now sold more than 3 million units in the United States.
