A Boohoo customer was left astounded after ordering a size 14 T-shirt dress only to find it was bigger than a man’s XXL powerlifting top.
Ria Martin, 34, of Southampton, purchased the £22 Freddie Mercury T-shirt dress- which is currently on sale for £17.60 – from the UK-based online retailer for her friend Natalie, 29.
But when her pal tried it on, the pair were both shocked to find the dress was much larger than anticipated.

‘It’d be massive on my friend’s boyfriend and he is a big guy. It’s mental. It looks like it’s at least a XXXL T-shirt – definitely not a dress!’
Asked if she plans to keep shopping with Boohoo despite this sizing problem, Ria added: ‘I’ll keep shopping with them as they do some great promotions and I’ve already paid for the delivery pass.
‘We’ve come to expect random sizing from them as its not the first time we’ve had something like this, it’s like a lucky dip, and gives us a giggle!’
A member of the Boohoo help team contacted Ria via her Twitter post and asked her to direct message them to discuss the matter.

MailOnline has contacted Boohoo for a comment.
And it isn’t the only complaint to be towards the fashion company in recent weeks.
An outraged student blasted Boohoo after being sent a ‘completely wonky’ playsuit from the UK-based online retailer last week.
Eden Tanner, 19, of Essex, was left unimpressed by the £10 Basic Cami Wrap Playsuit – which is currently on sale for £8.
Astonishing: Eden Tanner (pictured left), 19, of Essex, was left unimpressed after purchasing Boohoo’s £10 Basic Cami Wrap Playsuit (right) – which is currently on sale for £8 – and discovering that the legs were unequal in length
Not impressed: Miss Tanner (pictured) took to Twitter to hit out at the clothing firm and posted a picture of her wearing the playsuit
She quickly discovered that one of the garment’s legs was significantly longer than the other, and took to Twitter to hit out at the online retail giant.
Posting a picture of her wearing the crooked playsuit, she said: ‘Can’t believe this, opened up this playsuit, and this is how it’s been made…completely wonky wtf.’
A member of the Boohoo help team then contacted Miss Tanner and asked her to direct message them with her order number.
She summed up her disappointment with the online retailer in one final tweet, which read: ‘Now I remember why I haven’t shopped on Boohoo for 2 years. Spent £70 and don’t like a single thing.’
She wrote on Twitter: ‘@boohoo_cshelp can’t believe this, opened up this playsuit and this is how it’s been made…completely wonky wtf.’
