‘Drop-dead gorgeous’ cow named Kim ‘Kowdashian’ after being rescued by PETA
We never knew there were stars of the cow world, but apparently there are.
That is according to PETA India, who have named a rescued cow Kim 'Kowdashian' after reality star Kim Kardashian.
For Mother’s Day in India (May 9), PETA’s Indian affiliate named a "drop-dead gorgeous" rescued mother cow there after Kim Kardashian.
They did this to thank mother-of-four Kim, 40, for showing compassion to mums of all species by promoting a vegan diet to her family and her 200 million+ followers.
A sanctuary supported by PETA gained custody of the lactating animal – who they say had likely been exploited for dairy – after her former owner was caught abusing her on the street.
Now, Kim the cow apparently enjoys snacking on green grass, sorghum, groundnut cakes, and even the fodder that’s carted around in a wheelbarrow.
She's also proving popular since arriving at her lush new home as she's already made friends with a bullock named Sonya and a fellow cow named Meena.
“While Kim the rescued cow prefers calm days in the shade and out of the limelight, in all the ways that count, she’s like human Kim – she is devoted to her family and loves spending time with friends,” says PETA India Director of Celebrity and Public Relations Sachin Bangera.
“PETA thanks Kim Kardashian for kindly keeping up with the times by going vegan.”
PETA says that cows in the dairy industry are artificially impregnated through a violating, painful process and separated from their newborn babies.
They write: "Mother cows have been heard calling for their calves for days.
"Male calves may be killed for veal, while most female calves endure the same fate as their mothers: they’re forced to produce milk until their bodies give out and then slaughtered for cheap meat."

So what's the real Kim been up to?
The human Kardashian has been hitting headlines herself this week as she exposed her curves in a sinfully slashed bodysuit.
We think Kim 'Kowdashian' may want to skip this outfit, to be honest.
