The California jury weighing the fate of embattled Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes will return on Monday from a brief holiday break to begin its second week of deliberations in a trial that has captivated Silicon Valley.
Holmes, 37, faces 11 criminal charges alleging that she duped investors and patients by hailing her company’s blood-testing technology as a medical breakthrough when in fact it was prone to wild errors.
