Full list of Job Centres set to close – is yours affected? | The Sun
PLANS to close almost a dozen Job Centres across the country have been announced by the government.
The Department For Work and Pensions says it is closing the centres as part of its plans to merge nearby offices and modernise its services.
Officials have earmarked nine centres in total with locations across the country.
A tenth site that deals with national insurance numbers will also be closing.
The DWP says many of the new sites will be within a few miles of the old centres.
Locations affected include Sutton Coldfield, Redhill, Leeds Eastgate, Leicester and Wolverhampton.

A DWP spokesperson said: “We are closing some poorer quality, older offices where there are better premises very close by that our services and staff can easily move to, so jobseekers receive our help in an upgraded, more modern environment.
"It’s expected affected colleagues will move to other nearby offices.”
He added that staff may also be given a new role within the DWP, or another government department.
Julie Marson, parliamentary undersecretary of state for employment, said MPs in the affected areaswill receive a letter outlining the changes.
