‘Game of Thrones’ fans say Sansa Stark to blame for coffee cup goof
Internet sleuths think they’ve found the culprit behind the coffee cup that found its way into Sunday’s “Game of Thrones” — the actress who plays Sansa Stark.
Fans on Reddit noted Monday that fellow actress Bella Ramsey posted a photo of Sophie Turner gripping a similar to-go cup of Starbucks coffee to her Instagram account late last month.
The cup is roughly the same size as one that eagle-eyed viewers spotted on a table next to Daenerys Targaryen in the show’s fourth episode, “The Last of the Starks.”
“Starbucks cup mystery solved. Sansa is petty, the north remembers,” one person posted on Reddit alongside the photo.
The photo caption quipped that Turner’s character put it there as a slight against her in-show rival.

“[That feeling when] you purposely leave your coffee in front of Dany knowing she’ll get all the blame,” it read.
Viewers were buzzing about the massive goof on social media Monday, marveling at how the people behind a show that costs a reported $15 million per episode to make could’ve made such a basic mistake.
“Seriously how did the Game of Thrones directors and editors absolutely MISS a Starbucks cup left on the table during that scene? ‘He’s Jon Snow. King in the North. Drinker of latte’s,” one user tweeted.
HBO didn’t immediately return a request for comment.
