Love Island star Dani Dyer has had an on-off romance with beau Sammy Kimmence, which pre-dates her time in the infamous villa.
The loved-up pair had quite the start to the year, and welcomed their adorable baby beau Santiago, and they've shown themselves to be doting parents ever since the birth.
However, Sammy is currently facing jail after pleading guilty to scamming two pensioners out of almost £34,000 by posing as a financial advisor.
He had pleaded not guilty to the charges last week, but changed his plea as he made his latest appearance in court on Monday.
Portsmouth Crown Court heard how Sammy's victims were legitimate clients from an investment company where he used to work, with him taking them on when the business stopped operating.
It was then that he falsely claimed to Peter Martin, 90, and Peter Haynes, 80, that he was authorised to provide financial services, taking £33,919.
As the couple hit headlines, let's take a look inside their relationship…
What happened with Sammy and Dani Dyer before Love Island?
Sam and Dani’s romance pre-dates her entering the Love Island villa in 2018. In fact, the pair dated for a year before the Essex lass appeared on the show, according to The Sun.
Dani, who is the daughter of EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, 42, previously hinted in her book she dumped Sammy for being a “liar” and he was “seeing loads of other girls” behind her back. Sections of Dani’s book, What Would Dani Do?, didn’t mention Sammy by name but refers to an ex who was a “major headf**k”.

In the book, Dani wrote: “[I] started seeing someone I really fancied who charmed the pants off everyone he met. But that was the problem! He was a liar and was seeing loads of other girls behind my back.
“He didn’t even make me his official girlfriend, which meant I didn’t feel I had much of a leg to stand on when it came to demanding where he was, so I ended up letting him walk all over me.”
After splitting from Sammy, Dani went on Love Island and won the reality series with her then-boyfriend Jack Fincham.
But, things didn’t pan out for Jack and Dani and the pair went their separate ways in April 2019.
When did Dani and Sammy get back together?
Dani was snapped snogging Sammy during a night out just 20 days after splitting from Jack in April.
But the Essex reality star denied cheating on Jack with Sammy and insisted she doesn’t “text people when I’m with someone”.
Dani and Sammy later posted a photo of the couple, hinting they were “meant to be together” in the caption, which read: “Boomerang if things meant to find there way they will trust me x [sic]”.
The couple then jetted off on a romantic trip to a mystery location in the middle of May and used the opportunity to confirm their romance to fans, with Dani sharing a photo of the couple on her Instagram story.
After going public with their romance, Dani and Sammy shared a number of loved-up pictures on their social media profiles.
But, their relationship has faced criticism online with people questioning “how do people move on so quickly?” and saying Dani’s ex Jack was “so fit”.
Dani slammed the trolls and defended her romance on her Instagram profile, writing: “I’m not going to delete anyone’s comments. You can all say what you want to say honestly we live in a free world.
“But I’m so f happy. I ain’t living a life to prove to people or to fake to people I am something I am not I’ve always been real [sic].”
She added: “Some people like it some people don’t. I’m focusing on number one. No time for anything no plans made it’s just happened and you can judge all you want. But come on I’m the real mf judge Judy.”
The pair continued to put on a united front, despite continuing comments from critics.
Meanwhile, Dani’s ex Jack has appeared on the latest series of Celebs go Dating in a bid to find love.

And, when questioned about his feelings for Dani, Jack insisted he’s “100% over her” on the show.
Speaking to celebrity matchmakers Paul C Brunson, 44, and Anna Williamson, 38, Jack said: “If we had lived in Love Island forever, we’d have been fine.”
Dani’s marriage plans with Sammy
Proving she has also moved on from Jack, Dani asked new boyfriend Sammy to marry her in the comments section of a photo he posted of the pair kissing.
And, in an interview with The Telegraph, Dani discussed future plans with Sammy: “Within five years I want to be married with a baby.”
She added: “I want to be young like my parents were, because I want to grow up with my kids, and I want a house in Essex near my parents.”
Then, when asked by the publication if Sammy was the one, she reportedly “nod[ded] and smile[d]” in response to the question.
She added: “I’ve told him I want to get married. I’ve told him I want him to propose to me on a boat – I’ve even told him what kind of ring I want. I don’t hold back. I put it all out there. He’s totally up for it.”
Dani and Sammy's baby announcement
Dani took to Instagram on 28 July 2020 to reveal the couple were expecting their first child together, holding up a sonogram in the sweet picture as Sammy kissed her on the cheek.
She captioned the adorable post: "Little bubba can’t believe you are going to be ours.
"Me and Sammy are so excited to start this next chapter in our lives, feel so lucky and grateful.. 2021," alongside pink and blue love heart emojis.
It came just days after the Love Island star gushed over her other half and explained that being in lockdown with her stockbroker boyfriend had been a positive experience.
And on the topic of their break up Dani told OK! Online: ”We didn’t even really, it wasn’t even a thing. It just got made into a thing.”
Dani and Sammy welcome their baby
Dani announced her son's arrival in January as she shared gorgeous pictures of her little boy as she planted a kiss on him from her hospital bed.
The new mum wrote: “After a very long day and night finally our special little boy arrived 23/01/2021.
"Weighing 7 pound.. We are in a complete baby bubble and enjoying every moment, can not believe he is ours, completely inlove and so grateful to be his mummy..
"Sending all my love to all the other mommas to be out there in lockdown.. the best experience ever will never forget this day.”
The new mum and Sammy chose the name Santiago for their little one, and discussing the name, the Love Island star admitted: "I think it sounds nice on the birth certificate."
Since little Snatiago's arrival, Dani and Sammy have been hands on parents and regularly share updates on their respective social media accounts.
