Inside Jeremy Clarkson’s new Cotswolds farm house on site of home he blew up on The Grand Tour

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? host Jeremy Clarkson has been spending lockdown on his farm in The Cotswolds, living in the barn while his house is being built.

Back in 2016, Jeremy’s work colleagues destroyed and demolished his home.

No this wasn’t some horrible culmination of sordid office politics, or a jealous rival seeking to sabotage, but instead apart of the TV show The Grand Tour.

Jeremy had lost a bet meaning his £4.5 million cottage in Oxfordshire, which he had been planning to tear down anyway, could be demolished by his co-stars Richard Hammond and James May.

They used explosives and diggers to completely flatten his home, and this did not pleased his neighbours, with one telling The Daily Mail at the time that all that was left after the explosions was “a huge pile of Cotswold stone.”

On this same site, which Jeremy renamed Diddly Squat Farm, he is still in the process of building his new home.

It is set to be 12,173 square foot and have an attic games room, a cinema, an orangery, room for five cars, a quad bike garage, a yard for their horses, five bathrooms and six bedrooms.

Although the house is not yet finished, in September his reality show, I Bought The Farm, will appear on Amazon.

This barn is already complete with a large dining table and many paintings and posters on the walls. There is also lots of alcohol on a side table including rows upon rows of Fever Tree Tonic water.

The space has a large seating area with red and orange pillows, as well as material-covered dining chairs.

Up in the rafters we can see an item that appears to be The Stig from Top Gear's racing helmet that enabled him to remain anonymous for many years. Oh, and Jeremy has a disco light!

From this angle of inside the barn we can see, again, that there are lots of bottles in the background including delicious-looking pale rose.

The brick walls are painted a cream colour and on the walls is a painting of ornate cutlery.

Jeremy has also opened a farm shop to sell some of the farm's produce. It is called "‘The Squat Shop" with prices that he says undercut Aldi.

Back in March, before the lockdown began, Jeremy promoted his business on Twitter, writing: “People of Chipping Norton. My farm shop will open at 11. Only potatoes on offer. Panic buyers welcome. Don’t get out of your car.”

He then warned customers to practise social distancing due to the coronavirus pandemic, writing: “Two things. To maintain minimum safe distance, it’s cash only. And no you can’t have a f***ing selfie.”

From this snap of Jeremy's girlfriend Lisa Hogan, we can get a sense of how stunning the full picture will look.

With these gorgeous walled plant beds and rural buildings it look like a fabulous space to spend lockdown.
