Lewis began his F1 career in 2007, and at the time was the youngest driver ever to win. Twelve years later he has broken the record.
According to Forbes, Lewis Hamilton has a net worth of $55 million, or nearly £43m.
In 2018 he signed a contract with Mercedes that pays more than £30m a year, not including bonuses.
This made him the best-paid racing driver in history. On top of this, he has a number of fashion endorsements, including Tommy Hilfiger and Police sunglasses.
On Forbes lists he comes 49th on the Celebrity 100 2019 and 13th on The World’s Highest-Paid Athletes 2019.

He reportedly has made almost £8m in endorsements, according to Forbes.
The publication claims Lewis has sponsorships worth a £5.4m.
However, the Sunday Times Rich List 2019 estimates his worth to be £187m.
The 34-year-old single driver lives in Monte Carlo, Monaco. He, unsurprisingly, lives a rather lavish lifestyle.

Lewis owns many expensive cars, which he no doubt enjoys revving down the winding roads of historical Monte Carlo.
He owns a Ferrari worth £1.13m. He also has a £5.65m yacht and a £15m Bombardier Challenger 605, a private jet.
The star uses his Instagram account, where he boats 13.4m followers and follows no one in return.
His bio on the site claims he eats a vegan diet, writing: “Love Animals. Constantly searching for my purpose, for adventure, open-mindedness and positivity. Spread LOVE and God above all.”
On Sunday he wrote the message: “It doesn’t matter how many mistakes you make, I know the pain alone can be hard to overcome.
“Try to remember, even if it’s hard, it’s how you rise up from the stumble that counts. Yesterday, a painful yet necessary lesson and it’s on me. I just want to acknowledge those of you who have had a tough year, hard week, hard days.
