A little girl has left adults chuckling after her uncle explained how she “conned” her teachers to get out of online learning for weeks on end.
Mike Piccolo explained on Twitter that his eight-year-old niece had fooled "my sister, my brother in law, the teacher, the school’s computer teacher, the principal and Zoom's support team".
The bloke’s sister has three kids all of whom are currently studying though Zoom classes due to the pandemic.
But, one day the little girl’s Zoom stopped working mid-lesson and wouldn’t let her log back in.
Her mum tried to fix the issue, but was unable to – she assumed it was a “weird glitch” and let her daughter go and play.
For two more days the issue continued and the mum explained to the teacher they were having technical issues.
She tried using Zoom in a different house and spent hours talking to Zoom’s tech support team.
The teacher even tried to create a whole new meeting for the class so that the little girl could access the lesson, but it didn’t work.
For two weeks the family gave up and mum homeschooled her daughter.
Then, when the savvy child was sent to do some work at a pals house her mate spotted something.
She noticed the little girl logging out of Zoom and claiming that it wasn’t working very well.
Mike wrote on Twitter: "The walls are closing in for my poor unsuspecting niece.
"My sister's friend is on to the con at this point. She now secretly watches from the other room where my niece cannot see her.
“After about an hour on Zoom, my niece can’t take it anymore and executes the con to escape the boredom.
"My sister’s friend watches as my niece logs out, then repeatedly types in the wrong password to her account about 20 times.
“What my niece had figured out is that when you log in with an incorrect password, Zoom will lock your account for a set amount of time.”

He continued: “The more times you do this, the longer the wait period for you to get back into Zoom.
“She also noticed that the error that is presented to a user when they are locked is 'Incorrect password' and not 'your account has been locked'.
"My niece found the exploit and combined it with her cute eight year old face, a face that never could tell a lie much less pull off an elaborate scheme to trick no less than eight adults for three weeks straight."
The thread went viral as adults found the con utterly hilarious.
One woman asked the mum whether she saw the trick as “brilliance or underhandedness.”
Her mum replied: "I’m her mom, and I see both! Sneaky little thing, but I can’t blame her for being sick of Zoom!"
Another commenter said: "Seriously, legend kid move. Love it."
"I admire the kid's hustle and creativity,” added a third.
