If you've also been watching her on Love Island at 9pm each night wondering what you would need to ask for to achieve a sunkissed brunette hair colour like hers, we have just the insider intel for you. Shortly before entering the villa, Kady went for a hair colour appointment to swap her previous mid-toned brown hair for the toffee-coloured tone she's currently rocking – and the transformation is quite something.

In an Instagram grid post shared by hair specialist hairbymillie.mae last month, Kady poses with a lighter hair colour. If you swipe to the next shot in the carousel, you'll see the star with her previous brunette hair and a very noticeable change in the hue and condition of her current strands.

"We’ve gone lighter! Balayage & baby light combo for @kadymcdermott," Millie captions the before and after post.

Helpfully, the hair pro has explained exactly what you'd need to ask for to get Kady's colour: a combination of babylights around the front sections, artfully scattered lowlights and a subtle balayage on the ends of the hair. Experts are also calling this exact shade of bronde a "toffee apple" colour – named so because of the warm undertones and buttery highlights.
