Meghan Markle’s dad played disgusting prank on family – and it horrified pals

Meghan Markle 's dad played a disgusting trick on his family when she was a baby – and it caused guests to run out of their home in horror.

Thomas Markle reportedly let his son and his friends smoke cannabis in the house when he was a teenager, however he changed the rule when Meghan was born.

But according to royal biographer Andrew Morton, the teens didn't listen to him and he once found them smoking the drug when the future Duchess was crying in the nursery.

So he decided to teach them a lesson, and it was certainly effective.

In his book Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, Mr Morton writes: "Tom Jnr told me that on one occasion he and his friends were smoking a spliff in the living room while Meghan was in the nursery crying.

"His father announced loudly that he was going upstairs to change her nappy. 

"Shortly afterwards, he appeared in the sitting room carrying a full nappy.

"He joined the boys on the sofa, took a spoon out of his pocket and started eating the contents.

"Grossed out, the boys fled the house. 

"Only later, did he reveal that he had earlier substituted chocolate pudding into a fresh nappy."

Earlier this year Thomas Markle Jr, who is now 52, claimed that the extra scrutiny he has come under because of his sister's marriage has left him 'homeless'.

He told  The Sun  : "This is the lowest point of my life. Living in a small hotel room is really taking its toll on Darlene [his fiancé] and her son – on all of us.

“And it’s all because my life suddenly got catapulted into the spotlight – through no fault of my own.

"My every move has been put under the microscope – not just for me but all my family.

“Now there’s been so much said about me – both true and untrue – no one wants to lease me a house or give me a job. It’s tough to accept – especially when I never asked for a'Iny this.”

Meghan has a difficult relationship with her father's side of her family, and none of them were invited to her Royal Wedding to Prince Harry last year.

Her mum Doria Ragland was her only relative in St George's Chapel as she said her vows, and the yoga teacher stayed with the couple when their son Archie Harrison was born. 

Meghan's sister Samantha Markle has given a number of embarrassing interviews about the Duchess , including one in which she said she believes a "jealous streak" in the mum-to-be may be the reason behind her reported fall-out with sister-in-law the  Duchess of Cambridge .
