A mum trying to do a supermodel impression has left fans in fits of laughter when she made a mess while trying to take a sip of a soft drink.

Celeste Barber, who is known for her comical acts on Instagram, recreated famous model Cindy Crawford's Pepsi commercial as she dressed up in a similar outfit to micmic the iconic moment.

The beginning of the video shows the 55-year-old Cindy faces sideways to the camera and elegantly drinks a can of Pepsi coke while a gust of gentle wind blows through her hair.

The moment quickly descends to a comedy when mickey-taking mum Celeste mimics Cindy's move while dressing in a similar white T-shirt.

Instead of holding a can of Pepsi, she instead tries to copy the same move while drinking a 2L soft drink.

But the soda spills out of the bottle and onto her clothes, resulting in a chaotic scene.

Celeste keeps her charm and elegance as she smiles at the camera – just like how Cindy does at the end of the advertisement.

"Go sports ball!" she wrote in the caption.

The video left many fans in stitches, and even Pepsi commented: "Happy to get you some more Pepsi…and a new shirt."

One fan wrote: "This is epic! With Celeste’s head nod at the end. Viral campaign for sure!"

"This one is even better," another said, comparing Celeste's version to Cindy's. "They way she pretends like nothing went askew at the end."

Others voted Celeste to be featured in next year's Super Bowl Pepsi advertisement.

The Australian comedian previously replicated ex-Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger's Earth Day video and nearly suffered wardrobe malfunction.

She tried to do a hair flip in front of a waterfall but ended up in an embarrassing situation.

"I lost my pants!" she told her husband while sitting in the water waiting for help.
