It is really no secret that Prince William and Kate Middleton are excellent parents. When they welcomed their oldest child, Prince George, they emerged on the front steps of the hospital beaming with pride as they introduced the future king to the entire world.
Just a few years later, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were delighted to become parents once again, this time to a daughter, Princess Charlotte. Fans were over the moon for the royal family, and it seemed that things just couldn’t be more perfect.
It wasn’t long before rumors began swirling that Duchess Kate was expecting the couple’s third child. Kensington Palace confirmed that it was true: Little Prince Louis was born in April of 2018 and the family of five appear to be as happy as can be.
Just like any other parents, Prince William and Duchess Kate have quite a connection with their kids. Recently, while on a royal tour of Pakistan, So, Prince William and Middleton did the sweetest thing to make sure they were connected with their kids.

Just recently, Prince William and Duchess Kate continued to carry out their royal duties by embarking on a five-day tour of Pakistan. Unlike Meghan Markle and Prince Harry; however, they didn’t bring their three children with them.
Even so, the duke and duchess seemed to have had a wonderful time, according to Fox News. So, what did they do during their time there?
In a royal first, Prince William and Duchess Kate actually spent some time with a local family that they unexpectedly met. They had tea with the family in their modest home, and Middleton went so far as to even take some pictures as they connected with their new friends.
Town & Country reports that the royal tour was the most complex trip that the royal couple has taken to date, due largely to security reasons. Over the five days that they were there, they visited a school in Islamabad, and also met a group of children who were working on projects regarding sustainable development. One of the most significant parts of the trip was meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan, who just happened to have been a close friend of Prince William’s mother: Princess Diana.

It is always difficult for children to say goodbye to their parents for any length of time, and it couldn’t be easy for Prince William and Duchess Kate to have to travel so far away from their family. However, Express reports that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis were in good hands while their parents were away.
The children were at home in London, attending school for the week as usual and being looked after by the family’s nanny. Middleton’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, likely helped with the childcare duties while the royal couple was abroad so the nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, can have some time to herself.

Us Weekly reports that the future king and queen took the time to call their children every night before bed to check in on them. Although being apart is one of the hardest aspects of royal life, it is wonderful that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis get to hear their parents’ voices each evening before they fall asleep.
