Princess Anne body language shows ‘extreme joy’ with Zara despite different interests

Princess Anne, 70, is the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II, 94, and Prince Philip, 98. She is the mother of Zara Tindall but the royals could have very different interests.

Princess Anne has two children from her marriage to her first husband Mark Phillips, 71.

While Zara and Peter are the eldest grandchildren of the Queen, they were not given royal titles when they were born.

Because of this, they have stayed out of the limelight more than others in the family.

Instead of working as a senior royal, Zara has enjoyed a career as an equestrian and Olympian.

She will occasionally join her family at events, such as Royal Ascot.

Body language expert at BelievingBruce Bruce Durham analysed such outings of Zara and Princess Anne.

He explained the royal women could have very different interests.

“Although subtle, there are some really powerful body language clues at play,” Bruce said.

“These give a deeper meaning to the relationship between Princess Anne and Zara.

“In one photo, it appears as if Zara has commented upon something.

“Her eyes are looking over to the area of focus, while her torso is still pointed at Princess Anne with whom she is engaging with.

“If you look at Princess Anne’s feet position though, this gives a clear indication that she could not be less interested in what Zara is talking about.

“So while Zara may be interested in what she has noticed, Princess Anne most definitely is not.”

While different things may catch their attention, the royals are thought to have shared interests including as a love of horse-riding.

Their body language also suggests the royals enjoy being out with each other.

Bruce continued: “One outing shows both subjects mirroring each other.

“You can tell from the rise is Zara’s cheek and the look that is clearly visible on Princess Anne that this is an engaging conversation for both.

“You also have a mirrored head tilt as well as their torsos almost turned to each other at an identical angle.

“This indicates extreme comfort and joy in being in each other’s company at that moment.”
