Spoilers: Elly crushed by Chloe proposal in Neighbours

Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta) is finding life quite hard right now as she struggles to come to terms with the news of Shaun (Brad Moller) as well as having had to say goodbye to Mark (Scott McGregor). So Chloe Brennan’s (April Rose Pengilly) shock news is about to hit her hard.

While Elly has been trying to move on from Chloe, she perhaps wasn’t prepared for Chloe to move on from her – and she’s about to get a seriously stark reminder that Chelly will never again be a thing.

The huge sex tape scandal hits Lassiters and Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) is forced to step down, although she pushes for Chloe to be promoted to General Manager to carry on in her stead. Chloe’s on cloud nine, the new promotion coupled with Pierce asking her to move into number 24 with her has her absolutely walking on air.

Elly spots this as an opportunity to try and get their friendship back on track. Having suffered the loss of Shaun recently and with Mark having left town, she needs her bestie back.

But her high hopes come crashing down when their reunion takes a turn, Chloe reveals she has something big planned for the Melbourne Cup and Elly is horrified.

The cup day arrives and Chloe is a complete mess, her argument with Elly has left her full of doubt.

But then Pierce uses a magician to help him pop the question, will she go ahead and say yes? Is that really the end of Chelly forever? Is Elly ready to let go?
