Spoilers: Elly jailed, Andrea and Dee return, and more in Neighbours
It’s a dark week for the Ramsay Street residents as Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta) gets some devastating news just before she and her baby find themselves in some serious danger. Harlow and Paul are at loggerheads and Harlow takes some drastic action to prove her point. And things get grim when the return of a familiar face – or two – spells trouble.
It’s crunch time for Elly as she faces her sentence hearing, and things escalate pretty ruddy quickly. She goes from having her freedom to being locked up in a room where she has to pee in front of other people, and even worse, before she knows it she and baby Aster are then caught up in some serious prison violence. Will they make it out unscathed?
And just when she thinks things are bad enough, Elly’s new cellmate turns out to be none other than Andrea Somers (Madeleine West) who might appear to be her friend but has a seriously dark ulterior motive for getting close to her. Andrea’s appearance will also prompt the return of another familiar face – Dee.
There’s trouble brewing for Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) as he fails to realise his granddaughter Harlow (Jemma Donovan) is a chip off the old block and is about to give him as good as she gets.
And Kyle (Chris Milligan) will find himself in a tricky situation when he fails to control his urges and ends up with a huge confession for Roxy (Zima Anderson).
Here’s what’s ahead in Neighbours.
Jailbird Elly
Despite thinking that they’re prepared, Toadie and Elly are shocked when the prosecution go for her on the day of the hearing. No matter how much they try and fight it’s a losing battle, Elly is slapped with a sentence that leaves her horrified. She is led away in handcuffs ready to start her new life in prison as her family can do nothing but watch.
Andrea and Dee are back!
Elly finds out who her new cellmate is – none other than Andrea. Elly might think she’s got a friend, but Andrea is anything but. When Toadie finds out he’s distrustful of her and calls on Dee, asking her to meet with her sister to see if she’s up to anything. Toadie’s gut instincts are right, Andrea is out to get Elly, but no one knows this yet, or just how badly. She’s in Claudia’s camp and being paid to help ruin Elly’s life.
Huge danger for Elly and Aster
After persuading the Kennedys, Elly is allowed to have Aster with her in prison. It’s a decision she comes to regret when the two of them are caught up in the middle of a prison riot with the violence escalating around them. Will she and Aster make it out ok?
The gap between Paul and Harlow widens
Paul tries to make amends with Harlow by offering to bring the assignment she forgot to her at school. But as he goes to do his good dead he gets called on by Susan to help, and the distraction means Harlow never gets her assignment. She’s fuming and it further damages their relationship.
Horndog Kyle cheats on Roxy
Kyle and Roxy might not have officially got things sorted yet, but it’s pretty unlikely she’ll be cool with him sleeping around. Don’t look now then Roxy, because Kyle’s had a sudden bout of being unable to keep it in his pants.
After their disastrous date, Roxy suggests they keep things casual – which, naturally, she doesn’t actually mean. This totally backfires on her when Kyle hits it off with a girl at the counselling group and sleeps with her. He’s hit with a dilemma, does he tell Roxy and risk whatever it is they have or keep it to himself? But before he gets the chance to tell her, Sheila blows the secret.
Harlow ditches Paul
A parental conference is called over Harlow and Hendrix. Both Terese and Pierce think the teens should be able to spend nights together. But Paul has other ideas and puts his foot down. The move further alienates him from Harlow, who makes a shock decision – she’s moving out.
Scenes air from Monday 11th May on Channel 5.
