Tesco is giving out free daffodils to Clubcard customers
TESCO shoppers can get a free bunch of daffodils from the supermarket.
The offer is available to 1million Clubcard customers, who've been selected at random.
The flowers currently cost just £1 at Tesco, but it could be a nice freebie to welcome spring.
Daffodils are typically one of the most common signs that spring is here.
If you're been selected by Tesco for the freebie, you'll find the offer on the Clubcard app under the "offers and coupons" section.
It can then be redeemed both in-store and online before next Sunday, March 14.
Here’s how to cut the cost of your grocery shop
SAVING on your shop can make a big difference to your wallet. Here are some tips from Money.co.uk about how you can cut the cost of your shopping bills:
- Write yourself a list – Only buy items that you need. If it isn’t on your list, don’t put it in the trolley
- Create a budget – Work out a weekly budget for your food shopping
- Never shop hungry – you are far more likely to buy more food if your tummy is rumbling
- Don’t buy pre-chopped veggies or fruit – The extra they’ll charge for chopping can be eye watering
- Use social media – follow your favourite retailers to find out about the latest deals
- Be disloyal – You may want to go to different stores to find the best bargains
- Check the small print – It’s always worth checking the price per kg/lb/litre when comparing offers so you’re making a like for like decision as a bigger box won’t necessarily mean you get more
- Use your loyalty cards – Don’t be afraid to sign up to them all. They all work slightly differently – work out what bonus suits you better and remember to trade in your points for additional rewards
There's no minimum spend to get it for free, so simply scan the flowers and your Clubcard at the till.
Or if you're shopping groceries online, add the flowers to your basket, make sure the Clubcard is linked and complete your order.
Just keep in mind Tesco charges £4.50 for home delivery, while click and collect costs £1.50.
There's also a £4 surcharge for deliveries worth under £40 and click and collect orders worth less than £25.
If you're not yet a member of the Clubcard loyalty scheme, you won't be able to get the freebie but it can still be worth signing up.
Clubcard holders collect points when they shop using their loyalty card, which can be exchanged for vouchers to spend in store.
Customers can also boost their value by swapping the vouchers for rewards with one of Tesco's partners.
If you aren't eligible for the offer, daffodils are usually on sale in all major supermarkets at this time of the year.
For example, both Asda and Sainsbury's sell daffodils for just £1 per bunch.
