This Morning fans gush over Ruth Langsford as she tries out youth-boosting hair look

Any This Morning watcher will know Ruth Langsford usually wears her blonde hair down in a blow-dried, sleek look. This morning, however, Ruth gave fans a special treat as she showed off a completely new look.

Presenting the breakfast show with her husband Eamonn Holmes – in place of regulars Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield – Ruth had her mid-length hair styled into a beehive-like updo, while soft tendrils framed her face. Simply sweeping the hair up allowed her bone structure to be better seen, and gave her a youthful look.

This Morning fans were quick to praise her look on Twitter, with plenty of users spotting the hair change, and the difference it made to her complexion.

“@RuthieeL looks lovely with her hair tied up!,” gushed one, while another agreed, saying: “Ruth!! You look so pretty today with your hair up!! “

“Ooh love Ruth’s hair up and the bright pink looks lovely too,” a third commented.

The presenter paired her new updo with a bold pink blazer, which only added to the whole youthful effect.

The 61 year old has been giving fans a much-appreciated insight into her beauty regime as of late, now semi-regularly posting backstage snaps from her dressing room. In fact, just last month Ruth showed her followers how she created a “bendy wave” hair look that she’s been loving.

Taking to Instagram, Ruth reposted a video from her hair and makeup artistOlivia Daveydemonstrating exactly how her new ‘do is created.

"Thank you for all your lovely comments about my hair on This Morning," she wrote. "This is how @livdaveymakeup creates this ‘bendy’ wave look… clip in pieces, a flat iron & lots of hair dust!"

"Love it, Ruth looks 10 years younger," one follower said of the bendy style, while another fan added, "You look amazing Ruth”.

A third posted, "Absolutely love Ruth’s hair this way!"

Bendy wave or youthful updo, we’re going to miss seeing Ruth and her glam looks on our screen when Holly and Phil return from their summer holidays next week.
