Traci Lynn Johnson — the wife of Giants legend Tiki Barber — is in talks to join the cast of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” sources confirmed to Page Six.
Johnson has been seen filming with the cast of the Bravo series at various Garden State events. Sources further said the show has also filmed at her home.
UK outlet The Sun reported that Johnson filmed with the cast at “Margaret Josephs’ Pride party in Englewood, NJ, on Tuesday night.” A source told the Sun: “The party was shot for season 12, Traci is being tested out to see how she fits in with the other women, she’s been filming scenes.”
Sources told Page Six that Barber would potentially make appearances in the show if Johnson is cast. (Perhaps they can get advice from another reality star neighbor, “Jersey Shore” alum Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.)
Also at a party where Johnson reportedly filmed with the cast were New Jersey “Housewives” stars Dolores Catania, Melissa Gorga, Teresa Giudice, and Jackie Goldschneider.
Barber and Johnson live in Florham Park, NJ, and Johnson has previously been rumored as a potential star of the “Housewives” franchise. In 2015, there was buzz that she might join the show, as Giudice was headed to jail to serve time on fraud charges. But Johnson and Barber both shot down the speculation at the time, telling TMZ, “Don’t believe everything that you read.”
A number of the “Housewives” series have been shaking up their casts lately. Page Six reported that “The Real Housewives of Orange County” stars Kelly Dodd, Braunwyn Windham-Burke and Elizabeth Lyn Vargas will not be returning to the show.
Heather Dubrow, who appeared on Seasons 7 through 11 of the reality show, is confirmed to return
Barber reportedly first infamously met Johnson when she was an NBC intern, and he worked at “Today.” He was previously married to Ginny Barber.
