Woman shares snaps of £19 tattoo that artist misspelled in ink blunder
A woman was left gobsmacked after her tattoo artist made a major mistake while inking her side.
The artist accidentally misspelled a word in the inspirational saying – and it completely changed the meaning.
Fuming TikTok user @jessicaawattss asked for the phrase “this too shall pass” inked into her side.
She spent $25 – that’s about £19 – for the piece which should have been quick and easy.
But, it turned out that her love for her tattoo is what in fact passed as she discovered the error.
The artist accidentally spelt out the word “toe” instead of “too” meaning that her inking actually said “this toe shall pass”.
And, in a second insult, the French phrase “Je t’aime” she asked to be written underneath the quote was also misspelled, reports the Sun.
Instead the words which mean “I love you” in the romantic language said “je taim”.
Jessica claims she got the tattoo at a “random apartment”.
She showed snaps of her ink disaster on TikTok where more than 360,000 people liked the video.
In the comments people had their say about the tattoo.
One person wrote: "Ohhh I’ve laughed so hard at this. I had a very similar situation. Mine says 'this shall too pass’.”
While another added: “That’s what happened when you get a $25 tattoo."
“This is toe funny,” quipped a third.
Jessica noted that she had the tattoos corrected at a later date.
