NEMANJA MATIC phoned Jose Mourinho to organise having a pitch named after him in Serbia.
The Portuguese manager, 56, has remained on good terms with the midfielder after he signed him for both Chelsea and Manchester United.
Despite reportedly being delighted with the news, Mourinho is not expected to attend the opening ceremony next month but reportedly does plan to visit the pitch in the future.
It is located in a small town called Ub in the Kolubara district of western Serbia and will be used by local club FK Jedinstvo.
NEW ORLEANS star Josh Hart is a big fan of Mason Mount by the looks of things…
FRANK LAMPARD has hinted he could play Reece James in central midfield in the future.
As reported by the Metro, he said: “Right-back would be his favoured position.
“Whether it be there, right wing-back or right of a three.
“As he's coming into the team, you'd see him there but he does have that all-round game that he could handle playing centrally in midfield if needs be.”
CHRISTIAN PULISIC will not be the “next Eden Hazard”, says Nuri Sahin.
The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder said: “Which player can be compared to Hazard? There is only a handful of players on the level of Hazard.
“As I know, Christian doesn't put himself under pressure to be the next Hazard.
“I spoke to him and he also doesn't have that pressure from the club, from his manager, so he will be OK.
“He will be a great player for Chelsea, but he will not be the next Hazard.”
MASON MOUNT has nicknamed Chelsea team-mate Reece James “the Beast” for his remarkable strength.
Mount, on-loan at Derby last season, admits that James is “very quiet” but it's still best to get out of his way in training.
He said: “Reece is a very quiet boy. I’ve known him for a very, very long time, since eight or nine years old at the Academy here.
“He’s a very good boy, always works hard, and he’s got tremendous qualities. He’s going to be a brilliant player for us now and in the future as well.
‘I call him the Beast, because he’s so quick, strong and powerful.
