  • CHELSEA are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Olivier Giroud next month.

The French striker has been forced to play second fiddle to Tammy Abraham under Frank Lampard this season but failed to impress against West Ham on Saturday.

His Blues boss admitted the ex-Arsenal man was “off it” during the 1-0 defeat, and now the Daily Mail claim the Stamford Bridge club are ready to cash in.

Lampard believes he can use Christian Pulisic as a false nine, and after subbing off Giroud last weekend, he was switched from the wing to a more central position.

Speaking of the striker's performance against the Hammers, he said: “It was a difficult game for him. He didn't get enough of the ball and then the couple of chances he had didn't go in for him.

“It was a tough match for him but he wasn't the only one who came into the team and the performance was slightly off it. It was not the easiest game.”

Pasalic, 24, joined the Blues in 2014, but he is yet to make an appearance for the club.

As well as Atalanta, he has also been shipped off on loan to the likes of Elche, Monaco, AC Milan and Spartak Moscow.

  • CHELSEA are set for showdown talks with striker Olivier Giroud with the Frenchman frustrated about his lack of playing time.

The former Arsenal ace is behind Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi in the pecking order and is fearful of losing his place in Les Bleus' Euro 2020 squad.

According to the Evening Standard, the 33-year-old is ready to to leave in January if he cannot be guaranteed regular first team football.

They state that Frank Lampard would prefer to keep the player.

Giroud has started just twice in the Premier League this season.
