MORNING, TOTTENHAM FANS
Record signing Tanguy Ndombele got a taste of The Special Hairdryer after Tottenham’s 1-1 comeback draw at Burnley.
Jose Mourinho was brutal in blaming Spurs’ first-half woes on the £55million ex-Lyon midfielder.
Loosening up with an ominous “I am not going to hide” the Tottenham chief continued: “Tanguy has had enough time to come to a different level.
“He has to give us more than he is giving us.
“He's a player with great talent. I cannot keep giving him opportunities to play because the team is much more important.”
But Mourinho hailed the “quality” of half-time subs Lucas Moura and Giovani Lo Celso.
Dele Alli’s 50th minute penalty cancelled out Chris Wood’s early opener as Tottenham noticeably improved after the break.
On the transfer front, Spurs, Arsenal and Everton have been linked with Manchester United centre-back Chris Smalling, now on loan at Roma.
United are said to have upped the asking price to £25m after Smalling’s impressive season in Serie A.
Meanwhile, Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger claims he was made to feel like a “monkey” and a “liar” after an investigation into alleged racist chants against him at Tottenham last December was dropped due to lack of evidence.
The Germany centre-back revealed Harry Kane personally apologised after the incident and added: I felt as if I wasn't a human being, but an animal. A monkey.
“I think if you haven't lived such situations you can't imagine how I felt.”
SPURS WANT STONES
Tottenham are rumoured to be among three Premier League sides keen on signing Manchester City's John Stones.
Jose Mourinho's club are rumoured to be rivalling Arsenal for his signature, with Everton also showing an interest according to TEAMtalk.
The Gunners are reportedly willing to offer £50million for the England defender.
Stones has fallen behind Aymeric Laporte, Fernandinho and Nicolas Otamendi in City's pecking order.
MOURINHO WARNING
Jose Mourinho is urging Tottenhan's most expensive player “to improve” following their 1-1 draw against Burnley.
Tanguy Ndombele and his midfield teammate Oliver Skipp were regularly overwhelmed by their Clarets opponents.
And Sean Dyche's men had 14 shots on target in first 45 minutes of match.
Speaking to Sky Sports the Spurs boss said: “I was expecting players not tired to give more to the team.
“Somebody has to realise this is the Premier League. It’s a new experience, a first time at Burnley.
“Hopefully next season he can be fantastic.
“I hope he uses every minute on the pitch and every minute knowing what the Premier League is to improve.
“He’s a player with great talent. He has to know he has to do much better and know I cannot keep giving him opportunities to play because the team is much more important.”
