Arsenal release 7 players as contracts expire including Aaron Ramsey and Petr Cech as Emery begins his summer clear-out
ARSENAL have confirmed they have released seven players as their contracts expired.
Premier League legend Petr Cech, Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck are the three notable names to leave the club.
Youngsters Cohen Bramall, Charlie Gilmour, Julio Plequezuelo and veteran defender Stephan Lichtsteiner are also looking for new clubs.
Cech, whose final game of his glittering career ended in a 4-1 defeat in the Europa League final, played 850 matches throughout his two-decade reign.
The 37-year-old is braced for a return to former club Chelsea in a technical director role.
He spent four years at Arsenal and lifted the FA Cup once.
His team-mate Ramsey will become a Juventus player on July 1.
The Welshman broke down in tears as he waved goodbye to Arsenal fans following his 11-year stint with the club.
Striker Welbeck has been cruelly riddled with injuries and managed just one league start this season.
The England forward has been linked with moves to Newcastle and Lazio as he looks to reignite his career.
