Leeds vs Tottenham betting tips
Are you ready? 90 minutes of pure, unadulterated chaos will take place on Sunday afternoon as the relegation battle is decided.
What was once a nine-team fight to avoid the drop has shortened to just three with two of Everton, Leicester and Leeds joining Southampton in the Championship.
Leeds enter as 1/33 favourites to be relegated with Leicester at 1/7 and Everton at 16/5 knowing a home victory over Bournemouth will preserve their top-flight status for another campaign.
The Yorkshire club would have had their fate in their own hands had they not surrendered a 1-0 lead at West Ham last weekend. They eventually lost 3-1 and statistically have a 3.1% chance of survival.
Leeds will be safe if they win, Everton lose and Leicester fail to win. Alternatively, they'll survive if they win by three or more goals, Everton draw and Leicester fail to win.
Of course, there is the mathematical possibility of Leeds and Leicester both winning, and Leeds overturning a nine-goal deficit but that's highly unlikely.
Home win…
Leeds have to beat a totally out-of-form Tottenham to somehow turn this around.
This fixture arguably looks the toughest of the relegation trio, but Ryan Mason's side really are rudderless. Spurs have taken four points from a possible 15, losing five of their last seven.
Tottenham took the lead against Brentford before a complete collapse on their final home match of the season. Spurs can’t get Champions League and appear to be trying their hardest to avoid European football altogether.
Elland Road will be a cauldron on Sunday, and Tottenham may well be lacking in intensity and motivation to get a result.
- Our tip: Leeds to win at 17/10 with William Hill
Goals…
We've seen these final day clashes before. It's more often than not complete chaos.
And these two have been agents of chaos in recent months having scored 19 and conceded 40 in their last seven matches each combined.
Leeds have shipped 2+ goals 10 of their last 12, while Spurs have leaked 2+ in seven of their last 10.
With the handbrake well and truly off, we expect goals on Sunday afternoon, and that's why we're backing over 4.5 goals scored at 11/4.
- Our tip: Over 4.5 goals scored at 11/4 with William Hill
Kane farewell?
Will this be Harry Kane's last match in a Tottenham shirt?
The rumours certainly suggest the England international is seriously considering his options with Manchester United and Bayern Munich waiting in the wings.
And who would bet against a goalscoring farewell for the club’s all-time top goalscorer. Kane has netted 30 goals in 48 appearances, including six in his last eight.
He's banged in three in seven games against Leeds and needs just two to hit 30 league goals this season.
- Our tip: Harry Kane to score 2+ goals at 11/2 with William Hill
