FANCY frocks, towering heels and unmissable hats, it can only mean one thing – Cheltenham Festival is back.

Day three of the racing bonanza has kicked off in style today and many glamorous attendees are celebrating St Patrick's Day wearing bold, green ensembles.

The Cheltenham Festival is expected to attract 250,000 revellers this week, as racegoers are welcomed back for the first time since 2020.

Women have arrived at the Gloucester-based racecourse dressed in their finery and enjoying bottles of champagne in the sun.

Although the dress code differs depending on the stand, attendees from all ticket bands are making a statement with their wardrobe choices.

Racegoers certainly aren’t holding back with their headwear, with numerous people donning show-stopping hats or fascinators adorned with feathers.

Guests have been joined by royalty as Zara Tindall and husband Mike arrived for their third day dressed in green.

Cheltenham Festival 2022 is running over four days – from Tuesday to Friday – at Prestbury Park Racecourse, also known as Cheltenham Racecourse.

Yesterday was Ladies Day, and even the rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of attendees.

Racegoers will watch seven events each day from 1.30pm to 5.30pm, with the entire festival showcasing 28 races in total.

Most of the races can be viewed on ITV One, with coverage starting from 12.40pm each day.

This is the first time crowds have been allowed back to the Cheltenham Festival since the 2020 meeting when the coronavirus pandemic kicked in.

A total of 68,506 people showed up on day one, and Georgia Toffolo enjoyed 'beginner's luck' as she won a stunning £37,500 on a bet at Cheltenham.

The Made in Chelsea star, who was cheering on in the stands, put down £5,000 on the first race of the 2022 Festival.
