Cristiano Ronaldo's emotional Man Utd transfer return to feature on Netflix after Georgina signs up to second series
GEORGINA RODRIGUEZ has signed a new multi-million pound deal to star in a second series of the hit Netflix show about her rags-to-riches life, SunSport can reveal.
The former shop worker's move to Manchester following Cristiano Ronaldo’s Old Trafford return and the upcoming birth of her twins in April will feature heavily in the new serving of ‘I Am Georgina.’
SunSport understands filming has already started after the Spanish beauty put pen to paper with the American streaming giant last week.
A source close to the 28-year-old said: “A second series was always going to be on the cards but getting Georgina back on board became a priority for Netflix when it saw how well the first one was doing.
“Her pregnancy and the birth of her twins will be one of the lead themes along with her new life in the UK.
“Georgina sees this as a great opportunity to continue showing the world who she really is and how she’s transformed her life with Cristiano’s love and support.”
The first six-parter focusing on the Argentine-born beauty, whose late dad Jorge was in prison for drug trafficking while she grew up, became a top ten hit around the world after it started streaming in 190 countries.
Soy Georgina, its original title in Spanish, has quickly drawn comparisons with American reality TV series ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians' and a second series will cement the WAG's status as an international star.

Ronaldo, who turned 37 last Saturday, reveals in the documentary he is “1000 per cent certain” he will end up marrying his girlfriend of nearly six years.
Cameras followed Georgina as she flew around the world to events like the star-studded Venice Film Festival in the footballer’s £20million private jet.
The deal for the second series is thought to have been sealed over the past week after a lightning trip Georgina and Cristiano made to Madrid last month to discuss the final details.
The pair were spotted enjoying a romantic dinner at a five-star hotel in the Spanish capital where they spent the night ahead of the crunch meeting.
Local reports said Georgina, who announced in December her twins would be a boy and a girl, also used the visit to have a check-up at a VIP private hospital in Madrid where Spanish press say she will give birth.
Georgina, who already has a four-year-old daughter called Alana with Ronaldo and is called mum by his three children born to surrogate mothers, is believed to have earned six-figures to let cameras into her life for the first series.
And a well-placed insider told Sun Online that the fee for a second series is even bigger.
‘I Am Georgina’ premiered on January 27, which coincided with the model and influencer’s 28th birthday and a family holiday in Dubai.
The star WAG met superstar Ronaldo while she earned £10 an hour at a Gucci store in Madrid in 2016, not long after she worked as an au pair in Bristol.
But Georgina now boasts more than 33 million Instagram followers after seeing her fan count rise by four million since the launch of the Netflix show.
Ronaldo's kids’ adaptation to their new lives in Cheshire following the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s shock return to Man United from Juventus last summer, will feature in the new docu-series.
Fans are also hoping the footballer’s doting mum Dolores Aveiro and Georgina’s mysterious mum Ana Maria Hernandez will also be included.
Georgina explained their absence from the first series ahead of its premiere by saying: “It’s my show and they’re not in it because the circumstances didn’t give rise to it.”
Mum-of-four Dolores’ exclusion has not gone down well in Portugal, however, where the Madeira-based 67-year-old has had to put the lid on claims she has had “ups and downs” with Georgina, despite describing her as her future “daughter-in-law” in interviews.
