  • GOOD AFTERNOON

Welcome to our live blog of the second T20 International between England and Australia.

A victory for England this afternoon would see them take an unassailable 2-0 lead in this three game series.

Should England complete a 3-0 whitewash, it would see them leapfrog Australia and become the number one ranked T20 side in the world.

Eoin Morgan’s bowlers held their nerve on Friday night to secure a nail biting two run victory in the first of the three T20 games between the sides.

Australia’s openers got off to a flying start in their pursuit of 163, with the wicket of opener and captain Aaron Finch not falling until 98 runs were on the board.

The second wicket of Steve Smith was the start of an Australia batting collapse, where four wickets were taken for nine runs in the space of fourteen deliveries.

Marcus Stoinis was on strike for the final over, bowled by Tom Curran, with 15 runs needed at that stage.

The second ball of the over was despatched for six, but Curran held his nerve to restrict Australia scoring, allowing England to pull off the most unlikely of victories.

The game is due to start at 2.15pm, with the toss and team news coming up shortly.
