Football betting tips: Abraham to score again for Chelsea, Arsenal set for rare clean-sheet and Man Utd to struggle at Newcastle – The Sun

GOALS are on the menu in the Premier League this weekend.

Before the international week steals football away once again, stock up on our tips for a Saturday evening London derby and a packed Super Sunday schedule.

West Ham vs Crystal Palace (Saturday, 5.30pm)

SATURDAY nights' offering is a derby from the capital which never proves dull.

The last five meetings between these two sides have thrown up 16 goals, with three high-scoring draws in that sequence.

West Ham are proving as baffling as ever to predict, following up a 2-0 win over Man Utd with a 4-0 defeat at Oxford in the Carabao Cup.

They returned to Premier League action against Bournemouth and did well to fight back for a 2-2 draw in a VAR-affected game.

Yep, that's now a thing.

Palace make the short trip to the London Stadium on the back of a hard-fought but priceless home victory over Norwich last weekend.

Those are the sort of wins which keep you in this division – not necessarily how you perform on the road.

They've already stunned United this season, picking up a bonus three points at Old Trafford.

And we reckon Roy Hodgson will see this as a free hit, ditching any idea of a defensive block – and that means goals.

The Hammers have won their last two home games to nil, whilst Palace have scored on two of their three trips away from Selhurst Park this campaign.

But in that 4-0 defeat to Spurs, they actually had MORE shots on target than Pochettino's side.

One thing you can be sure of, this Palace side with Wilfried Zaha will create chances – we're happy to back both teams to score in the late game at a generous 7/10.

If you want a goalscorer play, look for Andriy Yarmolenko to make it three goals on the spin.

The Ukrainian does the age-old Arjen Robben trick of cutting inside and shooting five times a game – and currently, his radar is on point.

Both teams to score at the London Stadium: 7/10

West Ham to win and over 2.5 goals: 21/10

Andriy Yarmolenko to make it three goals from three games: 21/10

Southampton vs Chelsea (Sunday, 2pm)

A BUMPER Super Sunday programme gets underway on the South Coast.

After a mini-renaissance, Saints are facing a third-straight defeat after losses to Bournemouth and Spurs.

Ralph Hasenhüttl's side are yet to win at St Mary's this term, with their only point so far the 1-1 draw with Manchester United back in August.

One thing this team don't lack though is firepower – since their 3-0 shut-out against Burnley on the opening day, Southampton have scored in every game they've played in all competitions.

That includes matches against United, Liverpool and Tottenham.

With the amount of goals Chelsea are currently leaking, this looks on paper like it could be another cricket score.

The Blues have let-in four goals in their last two Premier League away games – but Lampard's men have crashed in eight of their own to take maximum points from Wolves and Norwich.

Tammy Abraham hasn't scored in the Premier League since his impressive hat-trick at Molineux, but we're backing him to shine on the south coast this Sunday after notching in midweek against Lille.

It's a happy hunting ground for Chelsea who have won all of their last four visits here.

4/7 for both teams to score is a little on the short side, so a play on the Blues to win and Southampton to net is the way to go.

And for an even bigger price, both teams to score in both halves is a tasty 9/1.

Chelsea to win and BTTS: 9/4

Tammy Abraham to score first: 3/1

Both teams to score in both halves at St Mary's: 9/1

Arsenal vs Bournemouth (Sunday, 2pm)

WHICH Arsenal are going to turn up this week?

I don't think even Unai Emery knows.

But he's set for a big boost this week as Rob Holding and Hector Bellerin set to return to the fold.

The Gunners desperately need some clean-sheets.

They've spent big this summer on attacking talent and the goals are flowing, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang seemingly guaranteed to find the back of the net in his current vein of form.

But they've been calamitous at the other end and it's time for the much-maligned defence to pull their socks up.

Bournemouth arrive in good nick and Eddie Howe continues to work his magic at the Vitality – but they do tend to be wide open away from home.

The Cherries have lost on all four visits to the Emirates since 2015, conceding thirteen goals.

We wouldn't be surprised to see Arsenal hit five as they did last season – and as they did to Forest in the cup just last week.

If they did, you could guarantee Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would be among the goals.

But there would be no shock if the Gunners were flat as a pancake and laboured to a 1-1 draw.

We're going to have a tentative play on Arsenal's defence finally coming good – simply as the value is too good to turn down.

The Gunners are a massive 2/1 to win to nil at HOME. Seriously, £30 for a tenner on Arsenal beating Bournemouth to nil in their own backyard. How times change.

And if you want to back the defences to come out on top on Sunday afternoon, under 2.5 goals is the same price. Too big and worth a nibble, especially after the 1-1 on Monday night in Manchester.

Granit Xhaka was thrown the armband this week by Emery – only to be branded a 'coward' by fans after some interesting defensive manoeuvres against United.

He's been carded four times this season, including two in his last two – and has twice as many fouls as any of his teammates.

A lot of you love the #GetAPrice markets and you should look no further than a ticking off for the skipper.

Arsenal to win to nil at the Emirates: 2/1

Granit Xhaka to be booked: 6/4

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to score a hat-trick: 11/1

Newcastle vs Man Utd (Sunday, 4.30pm)

WOW, this one could get feisty.

And that's just in the stands. Newcastle fans are not happy.

Toon owner Mike Ashley paid Sheffield Wednesday £4million in compensation for Steve Bruce – and there's no chance the former United captain's future is doubt just yet.

But after their abysmal 5-0 defeat against Leicester, Bruce has cancelled his side's midweek day off and will have them in for training every day.

You feel they HAVE to respond in front of an impatient fan-base who have seen all of this before.

United hauled themselves into the top-half of the table with the 1-1 draw against Arsenal on Monday night and are operating with a number of high-profile injuries.

They are odds-on to win here in the North East – are you seriously thinking of taking that?!

Everyone doubted Newcastle earlier in the season after they were torn apart by Norwich at Carrow Road.

The response was a 1-0 win at Spurs, ground out through sheer endeavour and perhaps the odd slice on luck.

If they get the crowd onside early on Sunday, we're not sure this Man Utd team justify that short price of 17/20.

They will concede.

We're going for both teams to score at 10/11 – it's a better price than you get for a United win and we just can't back Ole's men with any sort of confidence at the moment.

United under Solskjaer love a 1-1.

That scoreline has come up FIVE times in their last 10 top-flight matches. Back it again at big odds of 5/1.

And a Newcastle double chance – so the Toon to win or draw – is too big at 10/11. Trust in Bruce to manufacture a result against his old team when it really matters.

Both teams to score at St James Park: 10/11

United to feature in another 1-1 draw: 5/1

Newcastle to win or match to be a draw: 10/11
