IT'S FINAL DAY
It may be October 10 and the weather is significantly worse than the early summer we are used to in Paris, but it is the day of the ladies' singles final at this year's French Open.
And what a treat we have in store this afternoon.
Unseeded Iga Swiatek from Poland is into her first Grand Slam final and takes on American Sofia Kenin, the No4 seed.
Swiatek has blown away all the so-called competition in front of her throughout this remarkable run to the final, including dumping out the top seed and heavy favourite Simona Halep.
Kenin, meanwhile, has lost just one Grand Slam match this year and boats an impressive 16-1 record thanks to her maiden success in Australia at the beginning of the year.
Still only 21, she comes into today's final as the experienced head but it is an intriguing match up that should produce a spectacular final.
