And some of the best known faces off the TV have got an opinion on the £750,000 showpiece too.

Chris Hughes

Racing expert Hughes tweeted: "I fancy Kimberlite Candy for the greatest horse race in the world!

"I’ve been summonsed to have a play on Chris’s Dream, because if I didn’t do it… well, who knows."

Georgia Toffolo

Speaking on behalf of Ladbrokes, the Made in Chelsea star and former I'm a Celeb winner said: "I’ve been watching Minella Times closely.

"In his last two runs he’s finished second in two very competitive handicaps and having watched him jump, I am sure he will shine at Aintree.

"I’m a massive fan of Rachael Blackmore, so the thought of her making history and being the first female jockey to win the Grand National gives me goosebumps."

Vicky Pattison

Also speaking on behalf of Ladbrokes, ex-Geordie Shore star Vicky said: "After careful consideration, my selection is Potters Corner because of my lifetime obsession with Harry Potter!

"All that’s left to say is expelliarmus. Come on Potters Corner!"

Jake Wood

Eastenders legend Woods, who plays Max Branning, said: "You feel on top of the world when you win the Grand National, it doesn't matter how much you win.

"This year I'm backing Canelo to win the Grand National because of the boxing connection.

"That's how I pick my horse, I never want to pick anything too short and it's rare the short-priced favourites actually go on and win."

Jodie Kidd

Model Jodie, speaking on behalf of Ladbrokes, said: "I am so excited that the Grand National is back – after missing it last year I can’t wait to (hopefully) see my horse come in.

"I’m backing Burrows Saint – the horse ran second in the last outing and the trainer is Willie Mullins, who has won the race before.

"I think its great fun to study the detail and then have the excitement of a close finish!"
