Horse from amazing family is 'one of the easiest winners ever seen' in ridiculous Kempton romp | The Sun
A HORSE from a superstar family became 'one of the easiest winners ever seen' with this ridiculous Kempton romp.
Naqeeb broke his maiden at the fourth time of asking in the 1m4f contest on the all weather on Wednesday night.
The eyes of the racing world had been at York earlier in the day to see Mostahdaf win the Juddmonte under a genius Frankie Dettori ride.
But it was a horse belonging to the same owners who was making shockwaves of his own further down south.
A brother to the unstoppable machine that was Baaeed – a former Juddmonte winner in himself – and Hukum, Naqeeb produced a superstar display in the 7.22 Class 4 contest.
You could argue this son of Nathaniel should be winning a race of this calibre by ten lengths – as he did here.
But still, for him to make a mockery of his rivals to this extent was a sight to behold.
James Doyle never had to get to work on the William Haggas-trained three-year-old.
And although Naqeeb's career so far could be judged a disappointment given his family, there was no doubting his superiority in this sphere.
Bookies knew he was a good thing, pricing him up at 1-7.

Owned by Shadwell, Naqeeb's big bro Baaeed was winning a Group 3 at Goodwood on his fourth start.
In his incredible 11-race career, Baaeed won ten times and suffered his first defeat in his final ever race, the Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot last October.
Naqeeb would have to show some serious improvement to be contesting any Group 1s like his brother.
But this massive win suggests the penny might finally have dropped after a third and two seconds in his first three races.
Kempton racecourse posted a clip of Naqeeb's win and wrote: "One of the easiest winners we've ever seen on the all-weather here at Kempton."
One punter posted an emoji of a rocket in reply to a video of the win while another commented: "Was pretty impressive from the stands."
