INTER MILAN take a two-goal lead into the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie against Italian rivals AC Milan.
Goals from former Premier League stars Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan gave Filippo Inzaghi's side the advantage.
The two sides were in league action on the weekend as the race for a Champions League spot heats up in Serie A.
Inter increased the gap on AC Milan in 5th to six points as they beat Sassuolo 4-2 at the San Siro.
Elsewhere, Stefano Pioli's side were on the end of a shock 2-0 defeat to relegation-battling Spezia.
