Man Utd fans in stitches as singer picks confetti off Ten Hag's head after team win 'LEGO' trophy in pre-season | The Sun

MANCHESTER UNITED fans were left in hysterics when manager Erik ten Hag had a stray piece of confetti plucked off his head.

After beating Liverpool 4-0 in Bangkok the Red Devils were presented with a flashing trophy in a ticker-tape ceremony that saw smoke and confetti blasted over the team.

Fans joked that the trophy in the shape of a stadium looked like something made out of "LEGO" as United finally got their hands on some silverware.

But during the celebrations one piece of confetti hilariously landed on and stuck to Ten Hag's head.

And in a bizarre interaction the Dutchman kindly had well known Chinese singer Jackson Wang peel it off for him.

MUTV's coverage of the match showed Wang walking over to Ten Hag and casually touching his head to remove the confetti.

Fans were left in stitches after spotting the gesture, with one joking on social media: "Rub the head for good luck."

Another added "He felt the intelligence he has," with a laughing face.

Meanwhile others couldn't help but feel slightly embarrassed by the sight of the trophy following the win over Liverpool.

It might not be a major honour but the 2022 Bangkok Century Cup reminded United supporters of what winning a trophy felt like.
