Man Utd set for talks over Sergej Milinkovic-Savic transfer as agent flies to England – The Sun
MANCHESTER UNITED are set to hold talks regarding Sergej Milinkovic-Savic – as his agent flew in to London on Saturday.
The Serbian midfielder, 24, is seen as one of many options to replace Paul Pogba after the latter revealed he wanted out of Old Trafford.
Milinkovic-Savic has been linked with a move to United for a year now but he too has admitted it's time for a change.
And the Lazio star's agent flew into the capital this weekend in a bid to get a deal over the line.
The 12-cap international was expected to cost around £120million last summer.
But his patchy form throughout the 2018-19 season – and another year having expired on his contract – has seen that fee almost certainly dip below the £100m mark.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also thought to be in the market for Atletico Madrid star Saul Niguez.
SAUL, BRUNO OR SERGEJ?
The Spanish midfielder, 24, may be sold by Atleti this summer – as it's been revealed they don't actually own the player.
Another option for United is Bruno Fernandes – with a deal said to be close, despite interest from fierce North-West rivals Liverpool.
Either way, Solskjaer will almost certainly need to bring one of the three big names to Old Trafford.
On Friday, it was revealed Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, was "in the process" of finding him a new club.
The midfielder, 26, has his heart set on leaving Old Trafford this summer despite United bosses wanting to keep the French World Cup winner.
His agent told The Times that Old Trafford chiefs have been informed of Pogba’s desire to “move on” as he actively works to secure a move away from Manchester.
And Raiola claimed: “Everyone within the club from the manager to the owner knows Paul’s wishes.
“Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on.
“We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.”
