The father of Manchester City assistant manager Enzo Maresca, Pasquale, has been found after he was reported missing following the English side’s win in the Champions League final last night.
After defeating Inter Milan 1-0, City fans, players and staff have been celebrating the win in Istanbul, but according to reports from Corriere dello Sport his father had worryingly disappeared.
Turkish police were informed and had been working to find Mr Maresca, but he has since been found and according to Gazetta Dello Sport ‘is well’ following the scare.
Maresca, who is, according to the Scottish Sun, being linked with the vacant Celtic managerial position, has been working as Pep Guardiola’s assistant manager since July 2022.
His father had reportedly flown into Istanbul in the days prior to the final to watch the match.

Currently there are no details on how he disappeared after he was in attendance for the match.
But Gazetta said that it was ‘a worrying period of time after traces of Mr Maresca had been lost’.
City clinched the historic treble last night at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium, with Rodri scoring the only goal of the game, and celebrations have continued into the night following the match.
Erling Haaland and Jack Grealish have been seen partying into the night, with Grealish posting a video on his instagram in a night club in the early hours of the morning.
Meanwhile, the players and staff also celebrated the win in the changing room after the match.

They were seen enjoying a few drinks while dancing and singing with the Champions League trophy.
Maresca, who played for Juventus, Sevilla and West Brom, achieved much success during his playing career, winning the Serie A, the Europa League and the Spanish Cup.
During his managerial career, he has also worked worked as the assistant head coach under Manuel Pellegrini and David Moyes at West Ham.
He could now take up the vacant position left by Ange Postecoglou, who will join Tottenham this summer as their new permanent manager after Antonio Conte was sacked earlier this season.
