Mason Mount arrives at Carrington to complete £60m Man Utd transfer as Ten Hag set to make long-awaited first signing | The Sun

MASON MOUNT has arrived at Manchester United's training ground ahead of his move to Old Trafford.

The Chelsea star, 24, looks set to complete a £60million transfer in the coming days.

And on Monday morning he was snapped coming into Man Utd's premises at Carrington as he moves one step closer to joining the Red Devils.

He is expected to become Erik ten Hag's first signing of the summer transfer window.

The deal is believed to consist of a £55m payment with £5m in add-ons.

He will sign a five-year contract with the option of a further 12 months, worth in the region of £250,000 a week.

The move ends a 16-year stint at Chelsea – who he joined at the age of eight.

United saw their first THREE bids for Mount rejected by the Blues – who were commanding a high fee despite his contract expiring in 2024.

But a meeting last week finally saw a breakthrough in negotiations.

And he is set to become the latest in a long line of players to leave Chelsea.

Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy, Mateo Kovacic, Kai Havertz, N'Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have all departed.

Hakim Ziyech, Cesar Azpilicueta, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Conor Gallagher and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are also being linked with moves away.

The sale of Mount will be hard to take for Blues fans, who regard him as the jewel in the crown of their renowned crop of homegrown talent.

Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly failed to agree a new deal with Mount last year and talks collapsed when he rejected a one-year extension in February.
