'Not good enough – Unhappy Man Utd stars told to sort attitudes out despite Ralf Rangnick's tactics 'not working'
MANCHESTER UNITED'S players need to sort out their attitudes despite Ralf Rangnick's tactics not working.
That is according to Premier League legend Alan Shearer.
After an impressive win over Crystal Palace in his first game in charge, United have stuttered since.
In six games since they have only scored more than one goal once.
The Red Devils have drawn two, won three and lost one since the 1-0 Palace win.
And those include a disappointing 1-1 draw with Newcastle and a woeful 1-0 Premier League defeat to Wolves.
Their latest game was a fortunate 1-0 win over Aston Villa in the FA Cup on Monday.
And ahead of the match, Shearer said: "This set of players have to have a better attitude going forward because of late it hasn’t been anywhere near good enough from a lot of the players.

"That has to start tonight.
"The system the manager has played until now hasn’t really worked so we expect a little bit of a change in terms of the system and individuals.
"It’s got to start tonight, it has to start somewhere for him and this squad.
"Having said all that, you still need a better attitude from the players. We know if you give a player an inch they’ll take a mile.
"That’s just the way footballers are but they still need to show a better attitude on the pitch when your manager is asking you to do something.
"I watched them at Newcastle, they were dreadful, Newcastle should’ve beat them easily.
"I watched them against Wolves, they were awful.
"And I know they won against Burnley but they weren’t that great on the night either.
"But I still think you can give more in a shirt even if the formation doesn’t suit."
Rangnick has been persisting with a 4-2-2-2 formation but the players do not seem to be responding.
And Shearer reckons that's a personnel issue.
He added: "It’s alright having that belief in how to play, but it’s also having the players to play that way.

"And in the current system he wants to play, I don’t think they have the players.
"But he has walked into a very difficult situation because structurally at Man Utd, it’s chaos.
"You’ve got a football director John Murtough, you’ve got technical director Darren Fletcher, you’ve got an interim manager for the next four five months that goes into a consultancy role then going to look for a manager."
