A PORTUGUESE forward, assistant coach and doctor for a Vietnamese football club have died after a horror crash.

Paollo Madeira Oliveira of the Hoang Anh Gia Lai football club was killed after the car he was riding in was crushed between two trucks.


Doan Nguyen Duc, president of the club, said 48-year-old assistant coach Duong Minh Ninh, 29-year-old Doan Trong Tri, and the 27-year-old Oliveira were headed home, according to VNExpress.

Locals attempted to break open the car's doors to get the passengers out of the car.

He said: "I was shocked because of the accident. It is such a great loss to the club."

Oliveira played football in Portugal beginning in 2011 for the youth teams Imortal, Quarteirense, Farense 1910, Estrela da Amadora and Farense, according to Ojogo.
