Premier League title odds 2022/23 – Betfair: Man City and Liverpool favourites, Chelsea, Man Utd and Arsenal trail Spurs | The Sun

MANCHESTER CITY and Liverpool are favourites to be crowned 2022-23 Premier League champions.

That's according to bookmakers Betfair, who are predicting another two-horse race with Pep Guardiola's Citizens available at 4/7 and Liverpool at 12/5.

The dust has settled on the 2021-22 campaign with Manchester City landing their fourth title in the last five years.

But it's a quick turnaround with less than 50 days until the new 2022-23 season starts on August 6th, with the fixtures now released.

It will include a six-week mid-season break to accommodate the World Cup in Qatar with the final round of fixtures to be played on the final weekend in May.

But what do the latest odds say?

Manchester City are odds-on favourites at 4/7 to defend their crown.

And it's easy to see why given they've already added Norwegian superstar Erling Haaland to their ranks.

The Citizens managed to win the title without a recognised forward after the departure of Sergio Aguero.

And the arrival of Haaland, who netted 86 goals in 89 appearances for Borussia Dortmund, could see an explosion of goals at the Etihad.

City kick-start their season with a tricky fixture against West Ham at the London Stadium.

That's followed by Bournemouth (H), Newcastle (a) and Crystal Palace (H) with their final three against Everton (a), Chelsea (H) and Brentford (a).

Liverpool, who start against promoted Fulham, are next at 12/5 having missed out by a single point last term.

The Reds have a big summer ahead with superstar winger Sadio Mane having left Anfield for Bayern Munich, while Darwin Nunez has arrived from Benfica for an initial £64million.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: "The excitement for the upcoming Premier League season is building after the fixture release with Man City odds-on at 4/7 to win the title, while Liverpool are 12/5."

Tottenham are now considered third-favourites at 14/1, ahead of London rivals Chelsea (16/1) who have seen Romelu Lukaku, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen leave the club.

Manchester United are 25/1 to clinch the title during Erik ten Hag's debut campaign, ahead of Arsenal (40/1) and Newcastle (100/1).
