PSG 'make Christian Eriksen No1 transfer target with Inter Milan ready to flog ex-Tottenham star' after flop season
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN have reportedly made Christian Eriksen their top transfer target with Inter Milan ready to sell.
The French side will make a move for the midfielder, who has struggled since moving to Italy, in the January transfer window.
The Mail also claim that PSG's sporting director Leonardo has already started negotiations with Eriksen’s agent.
Inter will offer little resistance to any attempt to prise the Denmark national away from the club.
The Serie A giants are willing to cut their losses with Eriksen, who has had a turbulent time in Italy.
He has been at the club for less than a year after leaving from Tottenham for £17.5million.
He signed a four-year-contract with Inter but has rarely had any playing time.
Eriksen, 28, has started just nine domestic games for Antonio Conte's side and 29 times in all competitions.
The attacking prowess he displayed at Spurs also seems to have disappeared – he has managed to score just four goals and provided only three assists.
Despite falling down the pecking order at Inter, Eriksen has expressed his frustration at sitting on the bench and says he 'expects to play.'
He said: "I don't want to sit on the bench for the whole season, I hope this isn't the coach's or the club's intention.
"It is going to be a busy season, lot of games in program, I expect to play.
"It's never nice to sit the bench and one tends to be less patient as his experience grows.
"There are many expectations on me, people thought I'd do the difference in every game, but it didn't happen."
Although PSG have emerged as front-runners for his signature, Real Madrid and Manchester United will potentially be monitoring his situation as both were heavily-linked to him before he went to Italy.
