Sky Sports trolled for inviting Blue singer Antony Costa on to transfer show leaving fans absolutely bewildered – The Sun

BLUE singer Antony Costa caused a stir on social media after fans were left stunned at his appearance on Sky Sports' Transfer Talk show earlier today.

The Tottenham supporter spoke about his opinion on Spurs' loan signing of Gedson Fernandes from Benfica, but many were left scratching their heads as to why he was invited on.

Speaking to presenter Michael Bridges about Fernandes, Costa, 38, said: "We need bodies in that midfield.

"It might take a bit of time to adapt to the Premier League, but I hope and I’m sure that (Jose) Mourinho will give him that chance to start playing.

“When we signed Mourinho, he’s going to attract players young or old and it just goes to show with this youngster.”

Costa then went on to discuss his favourite ever Spurs signings in a segment called 'Transfer playlist', with David Ginola, Jurgen Klinsmann, Dimitar Berbatov, Rafael van der Vaart and Gareth Bale all making the cut.

Instead of making the Sky Sports viewers All Rise, Costa was Guilty of leaving those watching completely baffled by why he was there.

One fan said: "You’ve sunk to new lows here guys! A member of a boyband on to discuss transfers! Embarrassing!"

Another commented: "Why on earth is Antony Costa on sky sports news… Never have I cringed as much."

A third added: "Sky Sports News stooping to another level of s***!! They are now interviewing Antony Costa from boy band "Blue", talking about Tottenham transfers. Stop the planet, I want to get off!!!"
