Stephen Glass SACKED by Aberdeen after just 11 months in charge at Pittodrie

STEPHEN GLASS has been sacked by Aberdeen.

SunSport can reveal the Dons have taken the decision to axe their boss after just 11 months in charge.

The news comes on the back of yesterday's Scottish Cup defeat to Motherwell.

Glass, 45, only replaced Derek McInnes in March last year.

But despite being given huge financial backing to revamp the club's playing squad results have been poor.

Aberdeen have failed to win any of their last five matches.

And the final straw for owner Dave Cormack was yesterday's cup exit to Motherwell.

Angry fans vented their anger at Glass and his team as they left the pitch.

"Stephen has left the Dons with immediate effect alongside coaches Allan Russell and Henry Apaloo.
