Tiger Woods trolls Phil Mickelson after he wins £6m PGA Tour prize without playing a single tournament

TIGER WOODS mocked Phil Mickelson as he narrowly beat him to a £6million bonus for winning the PGA's Player Impact Program.

The 46-year-old superstar picked up the popularity prize despite not playing in an official tournament all year.

Mickelson, 51, was leading the race in November for the PIP after becoming the oldest golf Major champion ever.

He assumed he would take home the bonus but he was too quick to celebrate as the PGA Tour awarded it to Woods.

Tiger simply wrote 'whoops' with two shrugging emojis as he retweeted Mickelson congratulating himself and thanking his fans.

The left-handed Californian had said: "I'd like to thank all the crazies (and real supporters too) for… helping me win the PiP!

"To get the 2nd half of the money I have to add an event I haven't played in a while. See you in Kapalua.

"PS. I'll try and find another hot controversial topic soon."
