Romelu Lukaku swap
Newcastle have suffered a major transfer blow after a report claimed that Chelsea want one of their main transfer targets in exchange for Romelu Lukaku.
The Blues' new manager Mauricio Pochettino was believed to be willing to give Lukaku a fresh start at Stamford Bridge but it now seems that his exit will be a formality.
According to Corriere dello Sport, the West Londoners have asked for Inter Milan star Nicolo Barella in exchange for the Belgium international, who wants to stay in Milan.

Toon's Newc-lear option
Newcastle look ready to make a surprise bid for West Brom keeper Josh Griffiths, reports SunSport's Alan Nixon.
Magpies supremo Dan Ashworth became a fan of the England Under-21 shot-stopper during his time on the Baggies' staff.
And, as Albion plan to sell a few players in this window, Newcastle are in for the 21-year-old who has had loan stints with Portsmouth, Lincoln and Cheltenham.
Griffiths could compete for a game with the Geordies or get loaned out.
Toon expect back-up Karl Darlow to move for game time as they juggle their personnel.
Hull had him on loan but are now looking elsewhere, leaving Middlesbrough as favourites.

Hazard's Ed turn
Eden Hazard is considering a shock move to the Belgian Jupiler Pro League as he is set to become a free agent after leaving Real Madrid.
Following the announcement of Hazard's departure, many reports suggested that he would retire from professional football.
However, Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri claims the winger could join his brother, Kylian, at RWD Molenbeek.
Tavolieri tweeted: "At first sight improbable, the possibility of a return [to the] Belgian Jupiler League has been considered by Eden Hazard.
"In this context, the 'financial' factor would be considered incidental if he decides to continue his career. Playing with his brother Kylian at RWD Molenbeek is part of the thinking."

P-Rice is wrong
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is angry that his plans to sign West Ham superstar Declan Rice are being foiled by the club's takeover saga, reports SunSport's Alan Nixon.
But United’s protracted takeover drama has let Arsenal move into pole position for the Rice, 24.
Ten Hag’s spending is restricted while the Glazers decide whether to sell or stay put — particularly as the Red Devils are yet to offload any of the expensive dead wood in their squad.
Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani is edging closer to winning the takeover battle.
But Premier League chiefs would still have to complete the Owners’ and Directors’ Test which takes around ten days — meaning Ten Hag’s hands may be tied for at least another two weeks.

Chelsea swoop for Kane
Chelsea have "contacted" Tottenham over a potential shock swoop for Tottenham superstar Harry Kane.
Kane only has a year left on his contract with Manchester United making him one of their top summer transfer targets.
But SunSport revealed this week that the Red Devils have moved away from their pursuit of the star striker as they feel Spurs “never wanted to sell” to them.
Real Madrid have also been linked with an interest in the England captain but now a fresh report claims Chelsea are also on the prowl.
According to The Athletic, Real, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have all contacted Tottenham regarding a move.
However, the 29-year-old has his heart set on staying in the Premier League and the Blues have enquired about possibly reuniting Kane with his former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Ton of faith
Luton have turned to Blackburn goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski after snubbing the chance to sign promotion hero Ethan Horvath, writes SunSport's Alan Nixon.
Kaminski will jump at the chance of moving to the Premier League but faces competition for games, with Asmir Begovic set to sign on a free, too.
Rovers want around £6million for Kaminski, 30, whose wages fall within the limits the Hatters plan to pay in the top flight.
Huddersfield’s Lee Nicholls is an option if they cannot agree a fee for the Belgian, though his price is currently too high.
Horvath was shocked to find out he was not staying after helping the Hatters up to the top flight.

Man City's Gvardiol difficulties
Manchester City are facing difficulties to sign RB Leipzig star Josko Gvardiol as the Bundesliga club will demand a "big fee".

"Gvardiol has been a top target since last year, and talks regarding personal terms with the player have progressed well.
"This isn’t an easy negotiation at all with Leipzig as the Bundesliga side are quite happy to keep him for at least another season unless they get a big fee for him."
