Bell of the ball
News continues to filter through that Liverpool have been doing their transfer dealings behind the scenes and one such transfer that is being worked on is Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.
Jurgen Klopp has long been an admirer of the English midfielder who has made himself a regular starter since his transfer to Germany in 2020.
Reports suggest that the deal being worked on would see Bellingham make the move to Anfield in January, giving Dortmund ample time to source his replacement.
With the likes of Jordan Henderson, Thiago and James Milner all reaching the twilight years of their career, the 19-year-old would be a fantastic signing for The Reds for some years to come.
Dortmund are remaining tight-lipped about any potential move but any deal would need to be in place prior to Thursday.

Thomas Tuchel was reportedly told NOT to sign Cristiano Ronaldo by former Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick.
The Times claims the now-Austria boss advised Tuchel against moving for Ronnie this summer.
Rangnick endured a rocky relationship with Ronaldo during his time as interim United manager last season.
And such is his influence on Tuchel that the German told new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly not to follow through his initial interest.
Meanwhile, SunSport can exclusively reveal are swooping for experienced West Ham centre-half Craig Dawson to solve their defensive worries.
Boss Steven Gerrard is trying to tie up a deal for the seasoned star, who is willing to quit the Hammers for more game-time.
Gerrard will also give a two-year deal to Dawson, 32, who has been a valuable member of the West Ham squad since his move from Watford.
He is close to returning to the side from injury, but the Hammers are reluctant to sell him at this stage.
Elsewhere, SunSport can also reveal Man Utd will send Czech keeper Matej Kovar out on loan when they get a new No2.
Sunderland might be tempted to move for the 22-year-old.
Kovar is desperate to play regular first team football this season – something boss Erik ten Hag cannot guarantee him.
The youngster is highly-rated at the Theatre of Dreams with the club keen for him to continue his development elsewhere for the campaign.
Finally, Wanda Nara has broken her silence over Mauro Icardi's PSG future.
The player's wife and agent is reportedly trying to orchestrate a move to Turkey before deadline day.
But Wanda is playing her cards close to her chest.
She said: "I can advise him or give him an opinion, but he is the one who decides if he leaves PSG."

Pressed on whether Ronaldo will still be a United player come Friday morning, Ten Hag could only add: "I hope so."

Chelsea are looking to shift Ross Barkley before the transfer window shuts — and could even free the ex-England midfielder from his deal.
The 28-year-old’s fate is ironically going to be sealed by the expected arrival of winger Anthony Gordon from Barkley’s old club Everton.
The former Goodison Park starlet is now well down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge but still has a year left on a contract worth around £200,000-a-week.
It would take a huge pay-off to let Barkley go but new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly may make an offer to offload him.

Chalobah on the move?
Chelsea currently have the following players that can all play in the CB position…
Silva, Koulibaly, James, Chalobah, Ampadu, Cucurella and James.
When you add Fofana to that list, it is easy to see why players such as Trevor Chalobah and Ethan Ampadu have been linked with loan moves away in search of more game time.
Chalobah in particular is subject to plenty of interest from teams on the continent, including RB Leipzig, Inter, AC Milan and Jose Mourinho's Roma.
Could we see Chalobah make a move this summer on loan before the window closes?

Eyebrow-raiser.
Many eyebrows have been raised this morning at the transfer fee that Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana has commanded in his move to Chelsea FC.
The transfer will come with a value of an estimated £70m without add-ons, so it could rise to about £75m.
The Frenchman is undoubtedly full of potential, and was touted by Gary Lineker on Twitter this morning as: “The most prodigiously talented young central defender in the world.”

Maupay to Everton: pictured
Neal Maupay's move to Everton was confirmed yesterday by the club before they face his old employers Brentford in the 3pm kick off today.
The French striker was particularly prolific for the Bees, and will look to replicate that form for Frank Lampard's men in the near future.

The domino effect.
After earlier reports that Renan Lodi is potentially on the move to Nottingham Forest, we have now seen Atletico Madrid alerted to the availability of Sergio Reguilon of Tottenham Hotspur.
Fabrizio Romano has claimed that: "Atletico Madrid have already opened talks to explore Sergio Reguilón deal with Tottenham. He's more than appreciated, waiting for developments on Renan Lodi situation."
Tottenham of course, already have Ivan Perisic and Ryan Sessegnon who play that role for them, so Reguilon is deemed surplus to requirements by Antonio Conte.

Wesley Fofana will take third…
After weeks of talks, bids being rejected, contracts being agreed and much more, it seems that Chelsea and Leicester have finally agreed a deal for French centre-back, Wesley Fofana.
The talented Frenchman will move to 3rd in the list of most expensive defenders of all time if the move goes through, as the deal is agreed at a reported £70 million.
This is just £5 million less than what we saw Virgil Van Dijk leave Southampton to join Liverpool for, and Chelsea fans will be hoping he has the same effect.
