Witnesses reveal Roy Keane’s words as Micah Richards restrained attacker after ‘headbutt’ by fan at Arsenal match | The Sun

WITNESSES have revealed Roy Keane's words as Micah Richards restrained an alleged attacker at the Emirates Stadium.

The Manchester United legend, 52, was allegedly headbutted by a fan during the closing moments of Arsenal's win over the Red Devils.

His Sky Sports colleague Richards stepped in and was seen pinning a man against the wall.

The altercation took place in the West Stand as Keane and Richards attempted to make their way pitchside as part of Sky's Super Sunday coverage of the game.

A witness has revealed Keane called on nearby staff to call police as the incident took place.

They told Express Sport: "The fan seemingly tried to headbutt Roy Keane. I then saw a mark between his eyebrows.

"Micah Richards stepped in and pushed the fan back against the door. I heard the altercation and I was shocked to see the individuals involved.

"Richards was very forceful at keeping the fan from attacking Keane and neither their security nor the door security could split the two apart. Keane was asking nearby staff to call the police."

Sky and stadium security subsequently escorted the pundits pitchside.

Neither referenced the incident as they spoke about the game alongside ex-Arsenal star Theo Walcott and presenter Dave Jones.
