The Yankees received a double dose of bad news Wednesday, with Corey Kluber heading to the IL with a shoulder strain and Luke Voit also being shelved with a grade 2 right oblique strain.

Kluber will be out for the foreseeable future after being diagnosed with a subscap strain in his right shoulder after leaving his start on Tuesday with shoulder tightness in his right shoulder.

He’s going to get another, more invasive, MRI with dye to see the extent of the injury. As of now, Kluber won’t throw for at least four weeks, according to Aaron Boone.

The manager said it was unrelated to the shoulder strain that sidelined Kluber last season after throwing just one inning for the Rangers.

That leaves a hole in the rotation that will need to be filled. Boone said even before Kluber’s injury, Deivi Garcia was slated to pitch in Detroit this weekend.

Voit has struggled since returning from spring training knee surgery and could be replaced by a combination of Mike Ford, DJ Lemahieu and Miguel Andujar.
